If you responded to the consultation, thank you for your feedback.

The comments received can be viewed on our consultation portal.

The Council has produced the  pdf icon Emerging Core Strategy and Land for Housing Outside Urban Areas 2012 Consultation Statements [2MB], setting out how the 2016 Draft Local Plan Proposed Submission responds to issues raised during the Emerging Core Strategy and Land for Housing Outside Urban Areas consultation. As part of the preparation of the Emerging Core Strategy, the Council held Community Workshops in November 2010, which informed the local objectives set out in the Emerging Core Strategy pdf icon Core Strategy Community Workshop November 2010 Report [582KB]

Please note that the council has now decided to combine the strategic policies set out in the Emerging Core Strategy with the Site Allocations and Development Management documents so that we will have a single Local Plan. This will help us to give greater clarity on where development will go.
