A new page has been created - a Schedule of Rolling Changes to the Local Plan. This will be updated as a 'living document' as the examination hearing sessions progress.

The deadline for receipt of hearing statements for Stage 1 of the hearing sessions was  Friday 8 September and all hearing statements received by the deadline will be uploaded as soon as possible.

The Council has responded to the Inspector's preliminary questions on Housing and Job Provision and has provided an additional statement on Duty to Co-operate (forming an addendum to document DTC/3 in the examination library).

A Memorandum of Understanding has also been agreed between Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council and Highways England. This document is posted in examination documents (EX13) and also in the examination library (DTC/10).

The dates for the first two stages of the hearing sessions of the EiP of the Welwyn Hatfield Local Plan have now been fixed and the Inspector's Issues and Questions for Stage 1 of the hearing sessions are now available, together with his Guidance Notes and a draft Hearing Sessions Programme.

The Inspector has also issued preliminary questions to the Council on the Overarching Strategy, with a deadline for replies of Friday 15 September.

No dates have yet been fixed for the hearing sessions, but they will not be taking place before the middle of September at the earliest.   As soon as the dates and programme for the hearing sessions are available, details will be posted on the examination pages of the website and will also be sent  to everyone who responded to the pre-submission consultation of the Draft  Local Plan.
