    Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council has gained Interim Anti Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) against two youths living in the Hollybush ward of Welwyn Garden City. An Interim ASBO is designed to offer immediate protection to the public against specified antisocial behaviour in the period between an initial application being made to the Court and the case being heard.

    As part of their commitment to address the needs of victims of violence and their families, Welwyn Hatfield Council, in conjunction with the Welwyn Hatfield Domestic Violence Forum and the Community Safety Partnership, has launched a Sanctuary Project. This initiative provides additional security measures to the homes of those who have experienced violence. The project aims to make it possible for victims to remain safely in their homes, thereby preventing homelessness.

  • Successful New Youth Initiative : Moonlight Football League

    The Moonlight Football League kicked off on 17 February at Gosling Sports Park. The scheme is a new late-night five-a-side football project run by professional coaches. An astonishing number of teams entered – over 128 young people turning up on the first night of the scheme, with the same number returning the following week.
