Stanborough Park will be filled with colour and entertainment this Saturday 19 July as the Kaleidoscope Festival returns to Welwyn Garden City.

The day, organised by Welwyn Hatfield Ethnic Minority (WHEM) Group, will feature live music from around the world, dance performances, arts and crafts stalls and live theatre presentations, to showcase the area’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

All ages are catered for, with fashion shows, information and community services, and fun for younger visitors with face painting, quad biking, drawing and children’s entertainers. There will also be live music and bands performing on stage into the early evening.

Eliud Matindi, the festival’s coordinator said:  “WHEM Group is once again delighted to be hosting the Kaleidoscope Festival for the sixth year running.  We consider it a remarkable success the festival continues to grow from strength to strength, not least because it is organised entirely by volunteers. We are immensely grateful to all our sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers.  Without their help and support, we would be unable to run what is, by far, the biggest and most successful community event of its kind for the people of Welwyn Hatfield and the surrounding areas.

“We are, once again, looking forward to welcoming all members of our community to come together and enjoy themselves. ”

Admission is free, with a small fee of 60 pence for car parking. The event runs from 12 noon to 6:00pm.
