  • Best Value Performance Indicators

    The Council's performance was measured against a nationally agreed set of targets. Best Value Performance Indicators ceased to be collected from March 2008.

  • CPA - performance information

    Comprehensive Performance Assessment was the Government's initiative where the Audit Commission assessed every councils' capacity to deliver improving public services. Scores were based on a five-point scale: Excellent, Good, Fair, Weak or Poor. Welwyn Hatfield Council was last assessed in January 2004.

  • Progress on Corporate Plan Targets

    The council's Corporate & Community Plan targets are reviewed quarterly and current progress is published here

  • Comprehensive Area Assessment

    The Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) will replace the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA). CPA focussed on services provided only by the council. However, CAA will look at services provided by the council and local partners, this includes those in the private and voluntary sectors.

  • National Performance Indicators

    The council and its partners performance is measured against a nationally agreed set of targets. In April 2008 the government introduced a new set of performance indicators for local government. These indicators form the basis for measuring the Audit Commissions Assessment under the new CAA.
