Comprehensive Area Assessment
The Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) will replace the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA). CPA focussed on services provided only by the council. However, CAA will look at services provided by the council and local partners, this includes those in the private and voluntary sectors.
The government is currently consulting with all local authority's and its partners on the Comprehensive Area Assessment framework. The consultation will end in October 2008 and the new assessment framework will begin in April 2009.
