Committee Services
We are responsible for the administration and servicing of all Council and Committee meetings.
For the Council and Committee meetings we arrange the meetings, prepare the agenda, attend meetings, ensure they are run according to the rules of the Constitution and produce minutes. We are also responsible for maintaining the Constitution, Forward Plan and Cabinet Decision List.
In September 2001 we adopted a new constitution which sets out how we operate, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people.
