Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council

You are here:

Full Council Meetings

The Council meets several times a year to consider issues such as policy and strategy.

It also holds 'State of the Borough Debates' on specific themes when members of the community are invited to come and air their views on particular subjects.

Full Council meetings are open to the public, and if you feel strongly about an issue you can submit a question or petition to these meetings.

Each year, usually in May, the Full Council holds its annual meeting and elects the Mayor, appoints the Leader of the Council and other members of the Cabinet, committee membership and representation from the Council on local organisations (known as Outside Bodies).

Dates of meetings and Committee Membership can be viewed through our Committee Information System.
