The Constitution
The Constitution, which was updated in May 2008, sets out how we operate, how decisions are made, and the procedures that are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable.
It also details the responsibilities of committees and Chief Officers, codes and protocols and the members' allowances scheme. Some of the processes are set out in law and some are adopted by Welwyn Hatfield Council.
