The purpose of the scheme
At Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council we are very proud of our employees and the efforts they are making to improve services for our community. The employee recognition scheme looks to identify those individuals and teams who do something outstanding, over and above the usual expectations and responsibilities of their role.
The overall purpose is to demonstrate our commitment to the council’s core value: “We will value our employees and the contribution they make to the well-being of the Borough”.
It also enables us to meet the 5 Promises we have made to our community:
- Reduce crime and anti-social behaviour
- Make Welwyn Hatfield cleaner and greener
- Make sure people have a decent home
- Promote a sense of community in the Borough
