Council Tax Confirmed

Welwyn Hatfield Council formally set the council tax for the borough with all its constituent elements at a meeting of the full council on Thursday 28 February.

These were brought together to create the specific charge for each parish. The new band D charge in respect of the Borough is £179.19, the equivalent charge from HCC is £1081.12 and Hertfordshire Police is £136.67. The amounts required by parishes and the allocation of special expenses make up the remaining amounts. In Welwyn Garden City the band D council tax is £1424.38 and in Hatfield it is £1470.17 per annum.
