Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council urges residents in the area to safeguard their vote at election time by registering this Autumn.

The plea comes at the start of the annual canvass, when local authorities in Great Britain deliver voter registration forms to all households. To vote in forthcoming elections, eligible electors must be included in the revised register of electors which will be published on 1 December 2007.

Registration forms have now been sent out and list all the people currently on the electoral register for the address. Electors are asked to simply add anyone who should be registered and isn’t included and cross out anyone who no longer lives at the address.  The form should be signed and returned to the council as soon as possible. If all of the information on the form is correct and no changes are necessary, you can register using the telephone or internet response service until 18 November 2007.
