Residents, business people and dignitaries from local authorities across Hertfordshire joined Councillor John Hawkins, Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council at his fundraising Civic Dinner on Saturday 3 March.
The evening was an opportunity for all who attended to enjoy an evening of good food and entertainment whilst helping raise money for two good causes.
Councillor Hawkins used the annual Civic Dinner as a fundraising event for his nominated charities – Macmillan Cancer Support and the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Civic Dinner is the highlight of the Mayor’s social calendar and was supported by many VIPs, including the Mayors and Chairmen of other local authorities.
