What do you want your Council Tax spent on in the next year? What’s important to you in your neighbourhood?
Local residents and partners are invited to join Welwyn Hatfield Council’s councillors and officers at a series of public meetings this summer. These meetings will give residents the opportunity to set what local issues need to be addressed in the borough in the next year.
Councillor John Dean, Council Leader, said: “We are very keen for the public to get involved. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is for us to get feedback – we only know what you want if you tell us! So how are we doing? What do you want us to make a priority next year?
“We’ll listen carefully to what you say, and use this to help shape how we provide our services in the future. Welwyn Hatfield is your borough, your community – please come and be a part of it.”
Each meeting will focus on one or two of the council’s five promises from the Corporate Plan, providing the opportunity to discuss service quality and how Council Tax should be spent.
The meetings will take place on:
Monday 17 July, Jim McDonald Centre, Hatfield, 7pm
This meeting will focus on Crime & Anti-Social Behaviour and Environment
Tuesday 15 August, Welwyn Civic Centre, Welwyn, 7pm
This meeting will focus on Accountability
Wednesday 6 September, Woodhall Community Centre, WGC, 7pm
This meeting will focus on Housing and Community
