Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council has agreed to release Capital Funding for a number of projects that will take place during the next year.
Funding for thirty-nine projects totalling nearly £2.1 million will be made available from the Capital Budget during 2007-08.
The decision was made at a council committee meeting on Tuesday 3 April.
Some of the projects that will receive funding include:
Replacement of the flooring at Rollercity, at a cost of £85,000. The existing floor has been in place for more than ten years and is in need of replacement due to a high level of deterioration.
Around £45,000 will be spent resurfacing the car park at Digswell playing fields, which is currently in a poor state of repair. The base structure of the carpark will be repaired and then resurfaced with tarmac and marked parking bays.
£500,000 is allocated for refurbishment of White Lion House as part of the Hatfield Town Centre redevelopment.
