30/08/2007 - New venues for Meet Your Councillor Sessions

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council has introduced two new venues for the Meet Your Councillor sessions, which take place on Saturday mornings throughout the borough.

Handside ward councillors will now be available to meet residents in The Howard Centre, Welwyn Garden City. The meetings will take place on the Upper Floor of The Howard Centre, in the space vacated by Morelli’s Coffee Shop.

Hollybush ward councillors will now be available to meet residents at St Mary’s Church, Hollybush Lane, Welwyn Garden City. The meetings will take place in the Church Hall.

The new venues mean that there are now 21 different locations throughout the borough at which local people can meet their ward councillors. It is hoped that holding sessions in more accessible locations will encourage local people to attend and discuss any local issue that concerns them with their local council representative.

Residents can meet Welwyn Hatfield councillors on most Saturday mornings of the year at any location. The meetings take place from 10am to 10.45am and there is no need to make an appointment.
