Faulty intruder alarms that misfire can be a nuisance or cause annoyance to neighbours. Where there is sufficient evidence of nuisance/annoyance Environmental Health may enter premises to disable the alarm system to stop the noise. All the cost associated with this work are then charged to the person in control of the alarm.
