The ever-popular continental Market will once again be returning to Welwyn Garden City this weekend between Friday 11 July and Sunday 13 July.
The town centre will be awash with colour as dozens of market stalls selling a variety of food and drink sets up stall outside the Howard Centre. The market will be open between 9am - 5pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am until 5pm on Sunday.
Fine French and Continental produce will be on display at the market, as well as delicious French charcuterie, Dutch and French cheeses, a huge variety of fresh and dried garlic, seasonal fruits and vegetables, a mobile bakery and much more.
Councillor Mandy Perkins, Executive Member for Planning and Environmental Health, said: “I am delighted that the market is returning to Welwyn Garden City. There is a real buzz around the town on market days and shoppers really enjoy visiting the stalls and stocking up on fresh food and produce from Europe, or simply having a potter round the pitches and savouring the wonderful aromas of the food, which is all freshly baked. The market attracts visitors from London and the home counties as well as locally, which really helps to boost the local economy and put the town on the map.”
