Allotment gardening provides a wide range of benefits to communities and the environment. As well as growing your own vegetables, fruit and flowers you can benefit from companionship and healthy exercise outside on a site close to your home.
Where are the sites and are there any vacancies?
The sites are in Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City. Find your nearest allotment site (listed below) and see whether it has a vacancy:
Digswell Allotments and those at Broadwater Road are managed by the Longcroft Allotment Association on our behalf. They may have a vacant plot you could take.
If you are interested in the Green Lanes site in Hatfield , this site is managed by Hatfield Town Council. Contact them on 01707 262023
Welwyn Parish Council administer the site in Lockleys Drive, Welwyn. If you'd like a plot there please contact them on 01438 716667
North Mimms Parish Council have a site in Station Road, Welham Green. Contact them on 01707 268418.
Essendon Parish Council has a site at School Lane. Contact them on 01707 261375.
Cuffley and Northaw PC have a site King George V playing fields.
Regretfully, Woolmer Green PC does not have an allotment site.
