Air Quality Management
The Environmental Health service monitors the quality of air within the borough.
Our team is responsible for ensuring the air, land and water within the borough are protected from a range of pollutants. In conjunction with the Environment Agency certain premises are licensed to ensure they meet guidelines in respect of substances they emit to air.
Pollution Control
Additionally, air quality monitoring is undertaken regularly at sites across the borough while potentially contaminated land is assessed to make sure there are no risks to health.
