Trees
We manage the trees that grow on verges and greens in Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Welwyn, Welham Green, Little Heath, Northaw and Cuffley. Where we don't have control, the County Council takes responsibility.

The fine oak tree shown here is at the junction of Digswell Road and Coneydale.
In February and March this year we planted 338 trees throughout the Borough. These trees will be watered for the first three years. They will be monitored for tight ties and loose stakes. After the three years they will continue to be monitored for health and pruning needs. If you have any areas you feel need planting please contact us as we will be organising next springs planting shortly.
Tree Policy
On 22nd January 2007 the council formally adopted its new Tree Policy, a document that was compiled and consulted on in 2006. The Tree Policy can be downloaded here for reference.
