Initial letter to residents and businesses in the French Horn Lane Area

This letter outlines the scope of the whole project, the Council are seeking views on the current parking restrictions and if changes are needed.

The Council are responding to requests to protect the verge and pavement, as more and more vehicles are using these to park on. This is making areas look unsightly and increasing the maintenance costs to the Council to repair. We will also be looking at areas which could possibly create more parking provision. However, we know this is going to limited due to lighting or other services which are normally located in verges without mentioning the trees in situ.

It also informs those directly affected of the proposal to construct a multi-storey car park on The Common surface car park, with a view to release other surface car parks which have been highlighted as possible locations for development such as housing, leisure or retail opportunities.

The roads which form part of this area are:
Beaconsfield Close, Beaconsfield Road, Brain Close, Breaks Road, Bury Road, Cranborne Road, Endymion Court, Endymion Mews, Endymion Road, French Horn Lane, Glebeland, Goldings Crescents,
Howe Dell, Link Close, Link Drive, Link Walk, Old French Horn Lane, Old Rectory Drive, Onslow Close, Rectory Gardens, St Etheldredas Drive, Wood Close, Wood Vale
