Food business - food safety inspections
The council carry out regular checks on all food premises to ensure the public is protected and that high standards are maintained.
All food premises need to be registered with the Environmental Health department to ensure that regular inspections are carried out, the frequency dependent on the level of risk of the food handled. It is an offence not to be registered. Download a registration form here.
To ensure that food hygiene is of the highest standard it is good practice for all staff to have undertaken training and obtained their certificate in Foundation Food Hygiene. Training courses are available within the borough. Contact Environmental Health on 01707 357242 or E.Health@welhat.gov.uk
