Who can apply?

Applicants must be home owners, over 18 and be in receipt of an income related benefit or tax credit to apply for a grant to carry out essential repairs. However, if you are aged 60 or over and are disabled or infirm, you do not need to be in receipt of any benefits to apply for this grant.

All applicants, including joint property owners, will be subject to an assessment of their resources that calculates the money they will be required to put towards the eligible costs of the works needed. If the costs of the eligible works are less than your calculated contribution no grant will be paid.
