Tenant and Leaseholder Conference

Welwyn Hatfield Council is hosting a special housing event for its tenants and leaseholders this Saturday (7 July 2007).

The conference is the first of what the council hopes to be an annual affair.  There will be workshops on a range of topics, including tackling anti-social behaviour and affordable housing, as well as a chance for tenants to meet the council’s proposed new housing maintenance partner.  Everyone attending will automatically be entered into a prize draw, and other goodies are up for grabs in a fun competition about the borough.

Executive Member for Housing, Councillor Roger Trigg says, “We have run successful conferences with other authorities in previous years, but this is the first to focus very specifically on the services for our tenants and affordable housing within Welwyn Hatfield.  It’s a great opportunity for them to learn a bit more about what we do and for us to seek their views on how to improve.” 

The conference is being held at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City and will run from 9.30am-3pm.
