How to apply for supported housing
The first step is to join the Housing Needs Register, as all our accommodation is allocated through this waiting list.
You will need to fill out an application form - these are available to download or from our Neighbourhood Housing Offices.
In your application to us, you can also ask to be considered for housing association supported housing, as we can nominate people on our waiting list to many of these properties in the borough.
Our Housing Needs team will then assess whether you are eligible for supported accommodation. If you are eligible you will join our waiting list until a suitable vacancy arises. If you are not eligible to join our register, you may be able to apply direct to some housing associations.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider private supported accommodation. Further advice is available from Hertfordshire County Council's Adult Care Services or the Elderly Accommodation Counsel.
