A free service set up to enable residents to dispose of any unwanted items they no longer have use for.
|Date:||Saturday 4 November 2017|
|Time:||10am - 12pm|
|Area:||Primrose Close, Hatfield.|
Our Waste Cage Days have been set up to assist local residents who are unable to transport their unwanted items to local Household Waste Recycling Centres. Working in partnership with Serco, the council will be providing a waste collection cage for local residents to dispose of their unwanted items. Council staff will be on hand if you need assistance carrying your items to the waste cage.
Waste cages are a cheaper and more environmentally friendly way to dispose of any unwanted household items than skips and other common methods. The cage enables residents to separate different types of waste for recycling and to re-use items that other residents no longer have use for.
Please note that we are unable to accept car loads, asbestos, household waste and builder's rubble.
The Waste Cage Day will include an inspection of the local area to identify anything that makes the area look unsightly, such as untidy gardens, cars on the grass, litter, fly tipping, vandalism, graffiti, unreported repairs and ideas for improvement.
A log of all the issues identified during the inspection will be recorded and an action plan will be put together to resolve these.
Using this service
Just turn up on the morning of the Waste Cage Day and we'll be happy to help!
Remember, this service is aimed at helping local residents who can't transport their unwanted items to local Household Waste Recycling Centres, so we are unable to accept items from residents who turn up in cars, vans or any other vehicle.
