Governance

Governance is how we make sure that the council is doing the right things, in the right way, for the right people, in a timely, inclusive, open, honest and accountable manner.

We are committed to the principles of good governance. Our ongoing commitment and intentions are demonstrated in through our  Local Code of Governance [71KB]. Other key documents that support the Local Code of Governance are the:

Each year, the council is required to produce an  Annual Governance Statement [120KB] that report our governance arrangements. This document is considered by the Cabinet, Audit Committee, Standards Committee, Leader and Chief Executive.
