Governance
Governance is how we make sure that the council is doing the right things, in the right way, for the right people, in a timely, inclusive, open, honest and accountable manner.
We are committed to the principles of good governance. Our ongoing commitment and intentions are demonstrated in through our Local Code of Governance [51KB]. Other key documents that support the Local Code of Governance are the: Each year, the council is required to produce an Annual Governance Statement [696KB] that report our governance arrangements. This document is considered by the Cabinet, Audit Committee, Standards Committee, Leader and Chief Executive.

If you are concerned that something wrong or dangerous is happening within the council, you can raise those concerns in confidence and without a fear of reprisals.
