Date being released soon. Four Day Woodturning course Based in our garage workshop under the expert guidance of Colin Smith, a gifted wood turning craftsman. As one of just three students you will receive plenty of individual tuition. You will learn about tool maintenance and have the use of your own dedicated lathe throughout the course. Over the four days students will produce a turned bowl as well as some spindle works in the form of candlesticks or alternative pieces using the same technique. This is a great follow on course from the Wood Turning Craft Taster Days held throughout the year. | £50 booking essential £35 booking essential £330 includes lunch as well as all of the equipment and materials. The U3A provides opportunities for continuing intellectual, cultural and aesthetic development for people no longer in full time paid employment. It is a self-help organisation, which demands no qualifications for membership and it gives none, as it emphasises the pleasure of learning for its own sake. The WelHat U3A covers Welwyn Hatfield.
