Parking

The council is responsible for a number of parking services in Welwyn Hatfield, including:

  • A priority list for potential parking restriction schemes is decided by the council's Cabinet in March each year. These are then investigated and consulted on in order of priority.
  • The council manages 18 car parks across the borough. Details of locations, maps, opening times, prices and height restrictions are given below.
  • We work in partnership with East Herts Council to manage and enforce parking in Welwyn Hatfield.
  • Resident Permit Parking Schemes operate in residential areas where high volumes of visitor parking is persistent.
  • If you frequently use a council managed car park, why not get a season ticket and save yourself some money?
  • The council is committed to increasing the number of parking spaces and reducing parking congestion in problem areas throughout the borough.
  • Blue Badges enable holders to park near shops, stations and other facilities.
