Pest Control

Pests we can't treat: Ants, Bees, Foxes, Muntjac Deer, Silver Fish, Wood Lice, Fur Beetles, House Mites, Moths, Squirrels, Rabbits, Pigeons/Birds, ordinary Flies. 

These charges are in effect from January 2010 and will be subject to review.

*If you are in receipt of benefits you may qualify for a discounted service using the council's contractor. To qualify, you must be in receipt of one of the following:

• allowance/benefit
• income support
• disabled persons tax credit
• council tax benefit
• housing benefit
• state retirement pension.

To receive the discount please have proof of your benefit and a utility bill to confirm your address available when SDK visits your property.

You can report a pest control issue using our online form.

Please note that residents can use SDK for the treatment of pests, or if you prefer, you can employ a contractor of your choice. Should you want to use SDK, please contact us and the council will pass your details on.  However, this will be a private arrangement between you (the customer) and the service provider. The council will not be responsible for any private arrangement relating to pest control, nor the actions of a private company.
