Transparency in Local Government
As a public funded organisation, accountable to the residents we serve; we have a duty to be transparent in our business operations and outcomes.
The following information is available to view and download.
Members' allowances Members receive from the council an allowance or allowances to ensure that they are not financially penalised for carrying out their duties. The allowances paid are contained within the Council's Members Allowances Scheme.
Freedom of Information The Freedom of Information Act enables you to access official information held by the council.
Statement of Accounts The council is required to publish an annual Statements of Accounts. This provides a snapshot of our overall financial position. The document is externally audited.
Council contracts The council has agreements with a number of contracted companies who provide services on its behalf, or materials and products in support of its business.
Governance Governance is about doing the right things, in the right way, for the right people, in a timely, inclusive, open, honest and accountable manner. The council publishes an annual statement which shows how we are working to achieve good governance.
 Supplier Payments Over £500 The council has a target to pay all suppliers invoices within 30 days of receipt, excluding disputed invoices.
