Contaminated land
The council is responsible for making sure contaminated land within the borough is identified and managed.
A Contaminated land guide [431KB] has been produced for developers or other groups. If you are concerned about any aspect of pollution within the Welwyn Hatfield borough you can contact us on 01707 357242 Information on Panshanger [882KB] airfield has been compiled to assist prospective vendors and purchasers of properties on the former Panshanger Aerodrome. It sets out the type of activities which occurred on the site during the Second World War. This information has been made available following a number of failed Environmental Searches directly related to the use of the land for military purposes.
