Museum Object Sponsorship Scheme

Sponsors receive a certificate of sponsorship, together with a brief description of their object.  The sponsorship lasts 12 months and, during that time, if the sponsored item is used in a display or exhibition, a label will be placed next to it stating that the item is being sponsored by you. 

In addition, during the term of sponsorship, you can "visit" your chosen artefact at the museum.  If you wish to see your item, just give the museum a call on 01707 357856 and we can arrange a convenient time for you to visit it.  You will be taken to the store and shown how your object is kept and given a brief tour of the stored collections by the Curator or the Museums Manager. 

At the conclusion of your year of your sponsorship, we will notify you that your term is coming to its end and you will be given the option of renewing or ending the sponsorship.

By sponsoring an item in our collections you are contributing to the essential conservation funds of the museum service. 

Object sponsorship can make a great gift for a friend or relative.
