We have a fantastic collection of photographs, local history information files, and a small research library.
This free service is available on a drop-in basis on Thursday mornings between 10.00am and 12.00 noon when a local history volunteer will help you find what you need. Alternatively you can make an appointment for another day by calling 01707 271362. If you can’t get to the museum one of our volunteers will help with your enquiry.
How can I view objects not on display?
As part of our summer programme of special events we hold two or three ‘Behind the Scenes’ afternoons when visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the stores, please check our events listings for dates. Alternatively, if there is a particular object that you wish to see please call the museum service on (01707) 271362 to arrange an appointment.
