The Resources Room

Are you doing a school project, some family history, or maybe you just love old photos and local history?

Then visit our local history room to look at the collection, which covers Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding area.

We're open every Thursday morning between 10.00am and 12.00 noon on a "drop in" basis. You can also come in at other times by prior appointment.

 A knowledgeable local history enthusiast is usually on hand to help you.   They can help you find original archive photographs, local history files and constantly updated articles, or by searching the museum's comprehensive reference library.

For those unable to visit in person, our staff are able to undertake reasonable enquiries (e.g. those that take about 20-30 minutes to solve.)  Longer research tasks can be undertaken for a fee to benefit museum funds.
