Sports Clubs and Organisations
Welwyn Hatfield has a host of outstanding clubs, including Welwyn Garden City Golf club which produced Nick Faldo, one of the world's greatest ever golfers. Other sports people who originate from the area include David James, the England football goalkeeper.
Sports and leisure organisations
Working with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, the Herts Sports Partnership and Sport England, WHSPAA is formed of over 100 clubs and many organisations including: Welwyn Hatfield School Sport Partnership, Activate Forum for disability sport, Finesse Leisure Partnership, Gosling Sports Park, University of Hertfordshire, East & North Herts Primary Care Trust, Welwyn Hatfield Community Safety Partnership, Oaklands College, Welwyn Hatfield Youth Council and Hatfield Town Council.
