Top Hat Stage & Screen School

Top Hat is a part time performing arts school for children and young adults aged 4 to 17 years of age. Top Hat classes are held at weekends, during term time.

We currently have five centres:

Potters Bar, at the Elm Court Community Centre, Mutton Lane, Fridays, 4.30-7.30pm
Welwyn at Monks Walk School, Knightsfield, Saturdays 10am-1pm
Stevenage at John Henry Newman School, Hitchin Road, Saturdays, 2.30-5.30pm
St Albans, at St Albans Girls School, Sandridgebury Lane, Saturdays, 2.30-5.30pm
Hertford at Sele School, Welwyn Road, Sundays 10am-1pm

TINY TOPPERS

For children aged four and five years, they attend a two hour session, with a break in between. They will discover the delights of singing, music and drama and dance (both tap and jazz) in an informal, but safe and caring environment.

TOP HATTERS

Top Hatters attend three hour sessions, one hour of drama, an hour of singing and also an hour of dance, learning both jazz and tap. We have three age groups: stage 2’s are 6-8 year olds, stage 3 are our 9 and stage 4’s are 12-16 year olds. It is fun, friendly and they will build lots of confidence and meet new friends.
Terms are 12 weeks long and cost £150 for Tiny Toppers and £260 for Top Hatters.
Many of our students have gained professional work in the Performing Arts, in fact Rupert Grint (Ron in the Harry Potter Films) is an ex Top Hat student.
This term we will be working on our Summer Show at the Alban Arena on the 9 July. Call the office for a prospectus or simply turn up for your first FREE trial to see if your child enjoys it.

If you have always wanted to go to tap dance lessons and/or learn the trade of an actor, then come to us, no matter what level of experience. You can attend both classes; back-to-back, or just come to one. It’s your choice. Please call Top Hat on: 01727 812 666 or come for you first FREE trial.  www.tophatstageschool.co.uk
