The Gardens of the Rose is situated in Chiswell Green, St Albans and has over 30,000 roses on display from June to September.

Hatfield House is where Queen Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood. Rich in paintings, furniture, fine tapestries and historic armour, it has been home to the Salisbury family for centuries.

Knebworth House is home to the Lytton Family and is set in 250 acres of deer park. Attractions include a giant adventure playground, miniature railway and 25 acres of gardens. Famous associations with the family include Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria, Charles Dickens and Winston Churchill.

Mill Green Museum is a working water-powered corn mill situated near Welwyn Garden City.

Shaw's Corner was home to George Bernard Shaw, the legendary author.

St Albans, with its Cathedral and famous Roman remains, is only a few miles away.

Welwyn Roman Baths is a fine example of a typical domestic bath house built over 1700 years ago.
