The Local Development Framework
Work is underway on the new Local Development Framework, a suite of planning documents that will set out the Council's future planning policies and eventually replace the saved policies in the adopted Welwyn Hatfield District Plan, 2005.
The new Local Development Framework must be in conformity with the East of England Plan, which was published in May 2008.
The Local Development Framework is a set of planning documents.
- The Local Development Scheme sets out the programme for the preparation of Local Development Documents between 2005 and 2010.

- Core Strategy - We are currently producing the Evidence Base and anticipate that the Issues and Options consultation will take place towards the end of this year.
