Information and FAQs about our garden waste collection service. Payments will open on 1 March.
There are no disruptions to council services at present. If bad weather arrives or there is a civil emergency, please check this page for the latest information on revised services and building closures.
When roads are icy, refuse and recycling vehicles may not be able to safely access some roads. In very cold weather, it is also possible that the contents of brown bins can become frozen solid. This means we may be unable to collect the contents.
If you would like to be notified of any changes to your refuse and recycling collections or service disruptions during adverse weather conditions then sign up for our text alerts. It doesn't cost you anything to receive texts and will only cost you one standard network message to sign up.
All you need to do is text waste followed by your house number or house name and your postcode to 88020. You will be charged one standard network message.
Please note: The information you give us will not be used for any other purpose than to notify you of changes/disruption to refuse and recycling services. It will not be passed on to third parties.
To unsubscribe at any point, just text ESSTOP to 88020. You will be charged one standard network message.
