Public Transport Survey for Ganetts and Cole Green Lane

Welwyn Hatfield Council and Hertfordshire County Council are working in partnership to improve public transport for people living in the Ganetts and Cole Green, Welwyn Garden City.

Earlier this year bus operator Arriva Shires and Essex twice revised the timetable for the 403 service which has affected the level of services in the Hollybush area.

The Council is aware that the lack of a bus service in some parts of this area is creating considerable difficulties for some residents.

In response to this, a short questionnaire will be sent to residents of the Ganetts and Cole Green Lane asking about problems they have with public transport provision in their area.

It will ask how residents travel and identify the problems associated with travelling by public transport in the borough.
This information is part of the Local Transport Planning process and the answers given by residents will be considered by transport operators and the Council to assist in providing residents with better services.

Councillor Mandy Perkins, Executive Member for Planning and Environmental Health says: “I would urge residents to complete this survey as we want to demonstrate to transport operators that there is a demand for public transport in the Ganett and Cole Green areas. The more people that respond, the better the chances of improving public transport provision in the area.”
