Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council has a series of five leaflets highlighting walking and cycling trails in and around the Welwyn Hatfield Area. These include the Alban Way, Cole Green Way and a revised edition of the Activity Map. 

Due to recent restructure the PedalPoint service has been temporarily suspended and the postal request service for packs is unavailable.  This service will resume once the position has been filled.

Other circular rides you might enjoy

A Circular Ride from Old Welwyn

A signed on road recreational route visiting Old Welwyn, Ayot St Lawrence, and Ayot St Peter as well as traversing part of the Ayot Greenway. The route itself is signed on the ground and the leaflet points out points of interest. This route has been implemented by the Countryside Management service.

A signed on road recreational route visiting Essendon, West End and Wildhill over 11½ miles. The route itself is signed on the ground and the leaflet points out points of interest. This route has been implemented by the Countryside Management service.

The Sustrans website will show you where the nearest part of the national cycle network is to your home. Cycle City Guides also provides information on where to obtain other route maps outside Welwyn Hatfield.

Report a Fault on a Cycle Route

Pedal Point is the contact for all cycling issues in the Welwyn Hatfield area including reporting route maintenance problems.  However these reports will not be picked up by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council although they may be addressed at a later date.

Hertfordshire Highways (Hertfordshire County Council) is responsible for the maintenance of local footways and roads including cycle routes on the highway. Defects can be reported directly online, by post or email.
