This Pay Policy Statement sets out the Council's position in relation to pay for its senior managers and lowest paid employees in compliance with the Localism Act 2011 (the Act) section 38 and the statutory and supplementary guidance on Openness and Accountability issued under section 40 of the Act.
The policy outlines the Council's approach to how it manages pay for its senior managers and also that of its lowest paid employees. This is the seventh annual statement and covers the financial year, beginning 2020/21. This Pay Policy is accompanied by Pay Statement Structure Chart which gives the structure of the top three levels of the organisation.
Trade Union Facility Time
The Trade Union (Facility Time Publication Requirements) Regulations 2017 came into force on the 1st April 2017. These regulations place a legislative requirement on relevant public sector employers to collate and publish, on an annual basis, a range of data on the amount and cost of facility time within their organisation.
