The Traffic Regulation Order published on Wednesday 13th February 2019 for the parking bays proposed for Oldings Corner. The proposed bays are limited to cars and motorbikes only Monday to Sunday 7am to 10pm with a 8 hour stay limit and no return period within 4 hours. This is proposed to create additional parking spaces for local workers and shoppers, and to reduce on commuters parking and heavy goods vehicles

During the Birchwood consultation Tesco and local residents raised concerns about HGV parking and obstructing the slip road into Tesco's car park, as well as the part of the road adjacent to Birchwood playing fields. Further discussions have been taking place to find a resolution to both of these issues.

August 2018: Investigations are currently ongoing to reduce or remove HGV parking in Oldings Corner as well as improving safety by the crossing area adjacent to Birchwood Fields, and possible parking provision.
