Getting there:
The 366 bus stops outside the entrance gate of the cemetery.
Parking is available free of charge at the Lawn Cemetery. There is one car park at the entrance of the cemetery and another near the exit. There are also small lay-bys around the cemetery for 1 to 2 cars.
Height restriction
There is a height restriction of 2.2meters at the cemetery. It is only lifted for vehicles which require access due to:
- undertaking a prior arranged funeral
- carrying out works applied for in a memorial permit application (we must be notified beforehand)
To ask for the height restriction barrier to be opened call 01707 357 000. For a request to be guaranteed you must contact us at least three working days before.
The Lawn Chapel (closes on 31 May 2022)
Capacity at The Lawn Chapel is up to 60 people. However, we would like families to be aware that this is a particularly small chapel and when at capacity of 60, space between guests is limited. For families wishing to maintain a degree of social distancing, we would advise choosing an alternate venue or limiting attendance to 35 people.
We would encourage guests to wear face mask whilst inside the chapel however, this is no longer mandatory.
The sanitising station will remain in place at the chapel entrance and a strict cleaning schedule will be adhered to between services.
