The law says that graves cannot be sold for more than 100 years at any one time however, Exclusive Rights of Burial can be renewed, allowing the rights to stay within the family. We also offer 10 year extensions to Exclusive Rights of Burial. These can be purchased at any point throughout the lease period. Please note that these extensions cannot be collated at one time to allow the lease to extend beyond the legal limit of 100 years.
Renewals
Renewals can be submitted upon the expiry of The Exclusive Rights. Only the deed holder can submit and sign the renewal application. So it is important that the deed remains in possession of a living owner. Deeds can be transferred upon the death of the original deed holder. Please see our Transfer of Exclusive Rights of Burial page for more information.
