The Queen's Sapphire Jubilee Awards

The Queen's Sapphire Jubilee Awards are awards for young people aged between 7 and 20 years old to support them to get started, improve and excel in sport/art/dance or drama.

Please note that due to the current COVID-19 situation these awards are currently closed.

The Award can be used to cover expenses such as equipment, coaching, travel or fees essential to their progress.

Categories

Starter up to £100 awarded for 7-16 year-olds
Improver up to £300 awarded to 8-18 year-olds (up to 25 for people with a disability)
Exemplar up to £500 awarded to 14-20 year-olds (up to 25 for people with a disability)

What happens if I am successful?

Awards are presented to successful candidates at Annual Council. Successful applicants will receive a cheque for the amount awarded, please note cheques will not be sent out before Annual Council in May.

The successful candidates and their guests are invited to an annual presentation ceremony. A photographer is normally present at the ceremony and photos may be used in publicity. Successful applicants must keep us informed of their progress and how the money was spent.
