Changes to bin collections due to industrial action

Why did the strike happen?

A number of Urbaser employees went on strike in a dispute over pay.

Urbaser provide waste collection and cleansing services on behalf of the council and the dispute was between Urbaser and Unite the Union.

Throughout industrial action, the council actively encouraged cooperation between Urbaser and Unite to minimise the inconvenience caused to our residents.
