Kirsten’s story

Kirsten is an Assistant Director for Customer Services and Transformation.

I have been working at Welwyn Hatfield for 10 years progressing from Team Leader to Assistant Director. I have been lucky to be involved in some amazing projects from setting up major new contracts, improving the way customers access our services and opening a brand new crematorium! I have felt supported every step of the way and am grateful to the council for investing me and helping me realise my potential.

 

We now have an ambitious Transformation programme which is putting our communities at the heart of everything we do. Despite ongoing budget pressures (that every Council is facing), we have remained ambitious and are at our best when we challenge the status quo and drive improvements for our residents.  

 

We are instilling a culture of performance, learning and supporting each other when things don't always go right, and, of course, celebrating our successes.
